Kamera DSLR memang biasanya memiliki bodi yang gede dan
berat yang lumayan, walau generasi DSLR terakhir cukup kecil dan ringan
tapi masih banyak yang merasa ukurannya tergolong besar sehingga muncul
kamera mirrorless yang memang jauh lebih kecil seperti EOS M. Tapi
kamera DSLR memang memiliki fitur-fitur dan fasilitas yang tidak
ditemukan pada kamera mirrorless sehingga Canon pun akhirnya
menghadirkan produk kamera baru dengan ukuran bodi lebih kecil dan bobot
lebih ringan juga bernama Canon EOS 100D atau Canon Rebel SL1 (nama
produk ini di negara lain di mana SL berarti super lightweight)
Kamera ini ukurannya 25 persen lebih kecil dan 28 persen lebih ringan
dibanding Canon EOS 650D di mana Canon EOS 100D ini memiliki
ukuran 116.8 x 90.7 x 69.4mm dan berat hanya 407g alias tidak sampai
setengah kilogram. Spesifikasi sensor 1dalah 18MP APS-C Hybrid CMOS AF
II yang dikombinasikan dengan prosesor DIGIC 5. Canon EOS 100D ini juga
mampu merekam video FULL HD dengan frame rate 30fps, 25fps atau 24fps.
ISO range yang ditawarkan EOS 100D adalah 100-12800 (expandable to H:
25600) untuk pengambilan foto dan ISO-6400 (expandable to H: 12800)
untuk video.
Layar LCDnya sudah jenis touch screen berukuran 3 inci dengan
teknologi Clear View LCD yang memungkinkan kita menggunakan 2 jari untuk
zoom atau mengubah gambar, serta mengakses menu dan kontrol setting,
serta mengaktifkan poin fokus dan melepas shutter saat shooting.
Bahkan kamera ini memiliki fitur in-camera editing dan fungsi
cropping sehingga memudahkan kita memodifikasi dan memoles gambar selain
itu juga menyertakan mode adegan berikut:
